ISIS Support: More Want Sedition Case On Owaisi
Telangana lawyers and the Bajrang Dal joined those seeking a sedition case on Asaduddin Owaisi for offering legal aid to the ISIS "terrorists" arrested last week.
The Telangana unit of the Bajrang Dal demanded that the government scrap membership of MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi of the Lok Sabha and file a sedition case against him for offering to defend the "terrorists".
Bajrang Dal Telangana convener Y Bhanu Prakash said that the government had failed to initiate action though the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal had cautioned it that ISIS terrorists were hiding in the Old City. He thanked the NIA officials for protecting the people of Hyderabad by arresting the terrorists.
He also alleged that Owaisi, who stated that he would extend legal aid to the captured ISIS terrorists, was a betrayer of the nation. He demanded that the TRS government initiate immediate action against the Hyderabad MP at least now and not continue any sort of political alliance with his Party the MIM. He said Owaisi's statements were anti-national and could pose a threat to the integrity and unity of the country, and that the government should initiate action to bar him from Parliament and prosecute him under a sedition charge.
The Telangana Advocates JAC also alleged the same - claiming that Owaisi was extending support to the betrayers of the nation, it approached the Human Rights Commission on Monday.
In a complaint, it stated that the MP's statement that he would extend legal aid to the ISIS soldiers would embolden more terrorists to go on rampage killing people at will. They urged the Commission to direct the concerned authorities to initiate action against Owaisi.
