The CBI special court at Nampally, on Thursday, extended the judicial remand of former prohibition and excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana till 21 June.
Mopidevi was arrested by the Central Bureau Of Investigation in connection with the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy.
The court took this decision after Mopidevi was produced following the expiry of his judicial custody. Following the court's directions, the officials shifted Mopidevi to Chanchalguda Central Jail.
It may be recalled that the CBI had arrested Mopidevi for the irregularities in the allotment of lands to the VANIPIC project when he was the minister for investments and infrastructure. (INN)
