The Bharat Rashtra Samithi today lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for "speaking politics" and uttering "blatant lies" at the official program during his tour to Hyderabad.

Speaking at a press conference, ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Srinivas Goud and Gangula Kamalakar, and MLC Yegge Mallesham, said that the people of Telangana had expected that the Prime Minister would announce projects and funds to the State, but that he dashed the hopes of the people by choosing instead to focus on politics.

"Narendra Modi came to Hyderabad for an official visit but spoke politics at the meeting misusing the purpose of the program," Yadav said.

He also asked how many times the Prime Minister would flag off the Vande Bharat Express train, and said that he had never seen a single train being inaugurated multiple times.

Yadav also found fault with the statement of Modi that the Telangana government was not supporting the development of the State, and asked which project the BRS government had blocked.

ALso condemning Modi's allegations of rampant corruption in the BRS government, Yadav asked how if such allegations were true Telangana was regularly getting awards from the Centre.

Goud said that the people of Telangana were disappointed by the tour of Modi, and that the PM had failed to give any assurances on the various pending projects related to the State.
