MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy's Illegal College Buildings Demolished

Officials of the Telangana government today demolished buildings belonging to colleges of Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, of the BRS.
Hyderabad | 7th March 2024
Officials of the State government demolished buildings belonging to colleges of former minister Malla Reddy's son-in-law and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, of the BRS.

Two permanent buildings and six temporary sheds of Rajasekhar Reddy's colleges IARE and MLRITM in the Chinna Damaracheruvu FTL buffer zone in Dundigal were demolished.

The irrigation department and revenue officials had previously found that the entire 8.24 acre pond (FTL buffer zone) had been occupied for parking by the college managements, which had constructed roads and buildings there. A notice had been given to the managements about this a week ago.

Under the orders of Medchal District Collector, the demolitions were carried out today under the supervision of the irrigation, revenue and police departments. Some students and college staff reached there to stop the demolition, but the officials made it clear that they would complete the drive to protect the FTL.
