TPCC chief Revanth Reddy today wrote an open letter to the Governor of the state urging her to take action in the PG medical seat admission "scam".
In his letter, Reddy told the Governor that some private medical colleges were causing a lot of injustice to poor and middle class PG medical seat aspirants by selling seats in black for crores of rupees, and that the aspirants were holding protest programs for the last one week across the state on the issue.
He said that neither the CM of the state K Chandrashekar Rao nor the Health Minister T Harish Rao was responding on the issue.
He informed the Governor that some of the medical colleges that had committed the irregularities were owned by some of the ruling party leaders. He said that some of the students had alleged that colleges owned by ministers Ch Malla Reddy and Puvvada Ajay Kumar, and TRS leader Palla Rajeswara Reddy, were committing the irregularities.
He added that several media news reports too had been published with evidence to prove the scam.
He claimed that the scam was worth Rs. 100 crore per year.
