Some 149 air passengers coming from Kuwait to Hyderabad had a miraculous escape after the aircraft caught fire after landing at the Shamshabad airport.
Some 149 air passengers coming from Kuwait to Hyderabad had a miraculous escape after the aircraft caught fire after landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad in the wee hours of Thursday.
At around 1:30 am, the Jazeera flight that had just come from Kuwait caught fire after landing due to a technical problem. The aircraft was immediately stopped and the fire tenders of the GMR reached the spot.
Meanwhile, the pilot too stopped the engine, and the fire was gradually brought under control.
Later, the aircraft was shifted to Bay Number 59.
No casualties were reported.
