Roads & Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy traveled in the Hyderabad Metro from Erramanzil to L B Nagar on Sunday afternoon.
He covered the journey standing, and interacted with passengers over the facilities and services being extended by the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited.
HMR officials said that the passengers gave positive feedback, saying that they were happy with the services.
The officials informed the minister that passenger patronage was high on working days and so additional trips were being operated on those days. The frequency of trains was in general increased based on the demand, they told the minister.
They also informed Reddy that nearly three lakh passengers were traveling in the Metro every day.
The minister traveled back to Erramanzil in the train.
