I'll Fight For Justice: P S Rao
Minister P Shankar Rao maintains that he will continue to fight for justice despite receiving threatening calls for moving High Court against Jaganmohan.
Minister for Handlooms And Weavers P Shankar Rao on Tuesday alleged that he had received threatening telephone calls following the High Court directions for the issue of notices to the CBI, APIIC and Emaar Properties with regard to the alleged amassing of wealth by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Speaking to media persons from inside his car on the Secretariat premises on Tuesday, the minister said that he remained steadfast, and reiterated his resolve to face any eventuality whatsoever during the fight for justice.
The minister, as an MLA, had moved the High Court in the form of a letter in October 2010, alleging misappropriation by Jaganmohan Reddy using his father, the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's, position as Chief Minister since 2004.
The minister revealed that he had decided to take this 'threat' to the notice of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
He also declared that he was determined to fight to unearth the facts in the larger interests of the people and the party. "I am not afraid of anybody. I will fight against corruption," said Dr. Shankar Rao.
He also revealed that the call was made by someone whom he could not identify. Dr. Shankar Rao is believed to have replied in the language the caller chose to speak.
