The Hyderabad meteorological centre (part of the IMD) today predicted that the State was likely to receive heavy rains for the next three days.
An orange alert has been issued for Hyderabad, Vikarabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Khammam, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Mulugu and Warangal districts.
Authorities have been put on high alert by the State government in the wake of the forecast of heavy rain. Precautions are being taken to avoid any untoward incidents. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy enquired about the overflowing of Pedavagu in Bhadradri district. He also instructed minister Tummala Nageswara Rao to collect the details of the farmers who had lost their crops.
