Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday claimed that those who have quit the party to join the YSR Congress or other parties were quite eager to return to the Congress.
Talking to reporters after re-admitting Qutubullapur MLA K Srisailam Goud into the Congress at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa said that Congress leaders who had joined other parties were feeling "suffocated" in those places. Citing an example, he said that the Qutubullapur MLA had joined the YSRCP about two months ago, but that he could not tolerate the party leadership's "dictatorial attitude" and its "lack of democracy".
"Instead of working on the directions of a jailed leader, he decided to return to the Congress' fold," Botsa claimed.
Botsa accused YSRCP leaders of enacting political dramas in the name of Samaikyandhra leaders.
He also said that Congress MPs and legislators are working hard to keep the state united.
Union Minister of State Sarve Satyanarayana and other leaders welcomed Srisailam Goud into the party. (INN)
