Manikonda Fire Death Toll Rises To Seven
Casualties of the disaster include a new-born baby, and a 51-year-old watchman who choked to death in the elevator after having rescued ten other people.
Yet another number has been added to the death count resulting from the tragic Manikonda fire incident that occured on Sunday, 25 November. Anantapadma, who had been battling for her life at the Osmania Hospital, passed away this morning.
Casualties of the disaster include a new-born baby, and a 51-year-old watchman who choked to death in the elevator after having rescued ten other people.
The fire that broke out at around 8:30 in the evening on Sunday reportedly sparked off at a makeshift shed adjacent to Baba Nivas Apartment, that was part of the set for a TV serial shooting.
According to sources, electrical sparks caught onto film and other comustible waste that had been dumped carelessly in the open, and the fire soon turned into a conflagration that engulfed the whole apartment complex.
