Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti chief Manda Krishna Madiga today slammed the major political parties of Telangana for allegedly having distributed money and liquor in Nagarjuna Sagar to win the upcoming by-election to be held in the constituency.
Elaborating on his allegations, he said, "It is shameful that the biggest parties in the state had put up tents to distribute money and liquor to the voters in Nagarjuna Sagar in their desperate bid to win the upcoming by-election. If this is not the case, I would ask Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to publicly swear on the presiding deity of Yadagiri Gutta that his party did not resort to undemocratic and illegal means to lure voters."
"Though the KCR government has failed to do anything to push up reservations for the SCs and STs in the state, or to give plots to the journalists as it had promised it would, it is ever ready to dedicate all its energies towards winning elections. This attitude bodes ill for the state. As does the TRS' secret alliance with the BJP. Their bond has become obvious for all to see," Madiga added.
The comments of the outspoken leader can have seriously detrimental effects on the prospects of both the saffron and the pink party in the Nagarjuna Sagar by-election since the Madiga community has a strong presence in the constituency.
