Man Kills 80-Yr-Old Mother
The accused, Lokya Nayak, reportedly tried to attack his wife Manikyamma with an axe. Nayak's mother Gamini tried to intervene, and was hit by the axe instead.
An 80-year-old woman died on the spot after she received severe injuries following an attack by her own son.
The incident occurred at Madila Banda, a tribal hamlet in Maldakal mandal of Mahabubnagar district on Sunday. According to reporters, the accused, Lokya Nayak, tried to attack his wife Manikyamma with an axe after having an altercation with her. Nayak's mother Gamini tried to intervene, and was hit by the axe.
Gamini died on the spot while Nayak fled the scene. The police have registered a case and started investigations. (INN)
