A Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam will be performed in the Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on March 28.
Following that there would be more prayers, and devotees would be allowed to have darshan of the presiding deities, said temple Executive Officer Geeta Reddy.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Reddy said that arrangements were complete for the conduct of the Panchakundathmaka Homam in the Balalayam for seven days from March 21 to 28 as a part of the Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam. In all, 108 ruthwiks would participate in the Panchakundathmaka Homam. The Commissioner of Endowments had already issued an order deputing the ruthwiks and veda pandits of different temples for the purpose of the samprokshanam. They would reach Yadadri by the evening of March 20, Reddy said.
The Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam would begin at 11:55 am on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Reddy added. At 9 am on March 21, a Sudarsana Maha Yagam would also begin after an ankurarpanam, she said. After the samprokshanam on March 26, the presiding deities in the balalayam would be taken in a procession and installed in the main temple, and later the devotees would be allowed darshan, she said.
Arrangements were being made for the incoming pandits and priests, and all of them would be staying in the temple, the EO said.
