Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi president Manda Krishna Madiga has issued an ultimatum to the government, threatening to lay siege the state Assembly on February 22, if the state government does not lead an all-party delegation to New Delhi before January 31.
The MRPS leader resented the delay in postponing and introduction of a bill in Parliament for the categorisation of Scheduled Castes.
After meeting chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the Secretariat on Monday, Krishna Madiga criticised the government, and blamed it for not taking the initiative to lead a team to New Delhi as promised
earlier.
He is understood to have appealed to the CM to take a team comprising leaders from all parties, failing which, the MRPS members would attack the state Assembly, which is expected to meet for the budget session.
