KTR Tours Old City, Offers Support For Rain-Hit Families
The minister offered Rs 5 lakh to the family members of each of those in the Old City who lost their lives in the recent rains, during a visit to the area.

Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today offered Rs 5 lakh to the family members of each of those in the Old City who lost their lives in the recent rains, during a visit to the area.
He also promised to provide housing from the government to the poor who had lost their houses in the devastation.
Along with minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MP Asaduddin Owaisi and others, KTR met with the kin of those who had lost their lives and consoled them.
The minister expressed grief that despite all the efforts by the civic, rescue and police staff, some lives were lost in the heavy rains and floods, and promised all possible support.
He instructed officials to provide immediate shelter, sanitation facilities, food, medicines, blankets and all other necessary help to all those who needed them due to the rains and floods.
The minister also asked the officials to conduct health camps to provide immediate health services to the rain victims.
During the visit KTR also directed the removal of all encroachments in Appa Cheruvu in Rajendranagar which overflowed and caused inundation of the surrounding areas.
