KTR For Secunderabad Cantonment Merger Into GHMC

Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today said that he supported a proposal to add the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) area into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) purview.

In a tweet, the minister said that he had been reading some news items in the media supporting the merger of the SCB with the GHMC.

"Read a couple of news reports today where citizens overwhelmingly opined that Secunderabad Cantonment Board has to be merged in GHMC. I am in agreement too. What do you guys say? (sic)" he wrote.

However, as of 8:30 pm on September 22, the tweet had received only about 3,100 likes.
