Urea App Proves Congress Govt's Incompetence: KTR
Calling it the "urea app drama", the BRS working president alleged that the move was aimed at hiding long queues of farmers from public view.

BRS working president K T Rama Rao today said that the "urea app" was a clear testament to the Congress government's incompetence, and accused the ruling party of acting with a sense of vendetta against rural areas.
Speaking at the Athmiya Sammelanam of newly elected BRS sarpanches, upa-sarpanches and ward members from Tandur at Telangana Bhavan, KTR strongly opposed the introduction of a mobile application for urea supply, terming it an anti-farmer policy.
Calling it the "urea app drama", he alleged that the move was aimed at hiding long queues of farmers from public view.
He claimed that a government that had failed to supply fertilisers directly through shops was now attempting to cover up its shortcomings with a mobile application.
KTR recalled that during the 10-year tenure of the KCR government, farmers never had to stand in queues for fertilisers. He attributed the current urea crisis to the Congress government's lack of planning and vision.
He urged the government to stop attempts to "hide queues" and instead address the core issue by ensuring adequate urea supply. Demanding immediate steps, he said that the government should remove unnecessary hurdles and work with genuine commitment for farmers' welfare instead of complicating their lives with what he termed "app dramas".
KTR also accused the Congress of systematically weakening the agricultural sector and obstructing the implementation of welfare schemes. He criticised the government for "sidelining key farmer-centric schemes" including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and the loan waiver. He also alleged that the disruption of uninterrupted power supply for agriculture had caused severe distress to the rural population.
The BRS working president said that the growing dissatisfaction in villages was a direct result of the government's lack of sincerity towards the farming community.
