KTR Lays IT Tower Foundation In Karimnagar
The Telangana IT minister said that the tower would help provide jobs to 1,000 youth in north Telangana.

Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said that several youth would get jobs and employment with the expansion of IT towers and related businesses and industries in the state.
The minister was speaking at an event where he lay the foundation stone for an IT tower in Karimnagar worth Rs 25 crores spread over an area of 50,000 sq yards at the Ujjwala Park near Lower Maner Dam along with Finance Minister E Rajender and others.
KTR said that the tower would provide jobs to 1,000 youth. He however then also emphasized the need for training the youth to take up entrepreneurial enterprises so that they can provide jobs to other youngsters, too, instead of just seeking jobs for themselves.
Talking of the tremendous growth in the IT sector in Telangana in the past three years, the minister said that the industry had provided one lakh additional direct jobs during the period, and exported services valued at Rs 87,000 crores in the last year when compared to the Rs 56,000 crores exported in the year that the state was newly formed. He said that his government favoured the expansion of the IT sector to other districts than Hyderabad, too, and that state would grant permissions for the setting up of services in the districts of Khammam, Warangal and Karimnagar, too, in order to provide jobs to the youth in north Telangana.
