PM Modi Launches 13,430 Cr Projects In Andhra Pradesh
The Prime Minister launched multiple development projects worth about Rs 13,430 crore in Kurnool, spanning many key sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth about Rs 13,430 crore in Kurnool, spanning key sectors including industry, energy, roads, railways, defence manufacturing, petroleum and natural gas.
Following a visit to Srisailam, the Prime Minister paid tribute at the Shivaji Spurti Kendra and extended his respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from the dais. He also offered salutations to revered Shaivite saints Allama Prabhu and Akkamahadevi, and paid homage to great freedom fighters including Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and Hari Sarvottama Rao.
Addressing a large gathering, the PM invoked the blessings of Lord Narasimha Swamy of Ahobilam, Sri Mahanandiswara Swamy of Mahanandi and Guru Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralayam. He also expressed gratitude for being able to visit the sacred land of Srisailam.
"It is my fortune to have been born on the sacred land of Somnath in Gujarat, to have had the opportunity to serve the land of Baba Vishwanath in Kashi, and to now receive the blessings of Srisailam," Modi said.
Modi also praised Andhra Pradesh as a land of pride, culture and innovation, and said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, the State had strong vision and full support from the Centre.
"Delhi and Amaravathi are working together for accelerated growth," he said.
Among the major initiatives, the Prime Minister launched a Rs 3,000-crore power transmission project at the Kurnool-III Pooling Station to strengthen the national grid, along with the Srikakulam-Angul Natural Gas Pipeline Project to supply gas to 15 lakh households. He also inaugurated Indian Oil's Rs 200-crore LPG bottling plant at Chittoor, capable of filling 20,000 cylinders per day.
He then laid foundation stones for the Orvakal Industrial Area (Kurnool) and the Kopparthy Industrial Area (Kadapa) with a combined investment of Rs 4,920 crore, expected to attract Rs 21,000 crore in further investments and generate one lakh jobs. He also announced the six-lane Greenfield Highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar at a cost of Rs 960 crore, and inaugurated six other projects worth Rs 1,140 crore to enhance regional connectivity and road safety.
In the railway sector, projects worth Rs 1,200 crore were launched, including the Kottavalasa - Vizianagaram fourth line, the Pendurti - Simhachalam North rail flyover, and the doubling of key routes to improve passenger convenience and industrial logistics.
Modi also inaugurated Bharat Electronics Limited's Advanced Night Vision Products Factory at Nimmaluru in Krishna district, a Rs 360-crore facility aimed at bolstering India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
The Prime Minister also announced that Google would establish India's first Artificial Intelligence hub in Andhra Pradesh, and that the government would build a new International Subsea Gateway at Visakhapatnam - transforming the city into a global digital and connectivity hub.
Praising Andhra Pradesh's emergence as a "drone innovation hub", the Prime Minister said that Kurnool would soon become a national centre for drone technology, creating futuristic employment opportunities.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister said, "The dream of a developed India will be realised through a developed Andhra Pradesh. The projects launched today in Kurnool will open new doors of opportunity and prosperity across Rayalaseema."
