Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today received an invitation to participate in the 48th World Economic Forum meet to be held in Davos.
The meeting is scheduled to be held during January 17-18, 2018.
Representatives for top entrepreneurs, and renowned academicians and NGOs from across the world will be participating in the summit.
The minister was given the honour for his contributions towards enhancing ease of doing business in the state and improving its ranking, and introducing innovative government policies for industrial expansion and IT growth. His oratorial skills at the GES 2017 held in Hyderabad recently had reportedly left people greatly impressed, too.
KTR expressed pleasure at receiving the invitation and indicating his willingness to participate in the meet.
About 2,500 delegates from various nations including CEOs and Chairmen of top companies will be participating in the Davos meeting. It is being held that KTR will use this opportunity to showcase the Telangana government's efforts towards industrial expansion including offering hassle-free permissions for the setting up of industrial units and investment opportunities.
Telangana Resident Commissioner in Delhi Arvind Kumar and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan will accompany the minister to the summit.
