KTR Inaugurates 330 2BHK Units In Necklace Roads
Minister K T Rama Rao today claimed that Telangana was the only state in the nation that had a pro-poor housing program that offered economically disadvantaged people two-bedroom houses.
Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao today claimed that Telangana was the only state in the nation that had a pro-poor housing program that offered economically disadvantaged people two-bedroom houses.
Speaking after inaugurating 330 "riverfront" 2BHK units near Necklace Road along with Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, Home Minister Mohammad Mahamood Ali, and other officials, KTR extended his wishes to the beneficiaries.
"I feel proud that our government is being able to provide housing to so many poor residents of Telangana. No other state has any similar programs. We spend Rs 45,000 crore on welfare projects as we want to try our best to cater to the needs of the people of Telangana. With the housing scheme, our aim is to assure that the poor can lead their lives with self-respect. The 2BHK units I have inaugurated today are a step towards realising this aim. Each unit is equipped with many modern facilities. The compound also has 16 shops so some income can be generated for maintenance purposes," he gushed.
The minister also appealed to the new homeowners to protect themselves from a host of vector and water-borne diseases by keeping their surroundings clean and green.
Minister Srinivas Yadav too praised the KCR government for "creating wonders" by implementing a range of innovative and important welfare and developmental schemes.
