KTR Dares Revanth Reddy To Fight Him For Malkajgiri LS Seat
The BRS working president said that he was prepared to resign as MLA and contest for the seat if Reddy also resigned as CM and MLA and contested against him.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao today challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, saying that he was prepared to resign as MLA and contest for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming elections if Reddy also resigned as CM and MLA and contested against him.
"I will resign as an MLA. Revanth should resign as the CM. Let's both contest for the Malkajgiri LS seat. Don't play the safe game," KTR said daring Reddy to a direct fight with him.
He alleged that Revanth Reddy did not accept his challenge in the past and had run away. "Revanth Reddy had challenged me in the Kodangal and the GHMC elections, but ran away. What is the value of Revanth Reddy's statement if he runs away from a challenge?" he asked.
Referring to the comments of Revanth Reddy that he (KTR) belonged to the management quota, KTR asked the CM to speak about the quota of his party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He also alleged that Revanth Reddy belonged to the payment quota, and that the CM had gotten the TPCC chief post by paying money.
"Revanth Reddy needs to make payments to Delhi as he belongs to the payment quota. He threatens builders and traders to pay the royalty to Delhi," he alleged, and said that builders and traders would soon take to the streets against Reddy's extortion.
He said that there may have been some mistakes that happened in their government, but that it was not possible for the CM and the ministers to know everything happening in the government.
"If there are mistakes, investigate them and take action," he said.
He added that from March 2, the BRS would work on its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, and that former CM K Chandrashekar Rao would hold the meetings on candidate selection.
