3-Day Rythu Mahotsavam Begins With Enthusiasm
150 stalls representing agriculture and allied sectors were set up.

A three-day Rythu Mahotsavam began with great enthusiasm today at the grounds of the Giriraj Government Degree College in Nizamabad.
The event was formally inaugurated by Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao.
Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, district in-charge minister Jupally Krishna Rao, TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Government Advisors Mohammed Shabbir Ali and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, the Collectors of Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts (Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and Ashish Sangwan), senior officials from the agriculture and allied departments, and Chairmen of various corporations also participated in the program.
A total of 150 stalls representing agriculture and related sectors were set up on the premises, drawing appreciation for their informative and impressive displays. These stalls showcase modern agricultural machinery, high-yielding crop varieties, quality livestock breeds and a range of food products.
Special arrangements were made to educate farmers through interactions with agricultural scientists, experts and exemplary farmers. The sessions focused on organic farming, profitable cultivation using modern techniques, and crop varieties that promise high yields with low investment.
A large number of farmers from Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Jagtial, Nirmal and Sircilla districts attended the Mahotsavam.
Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that the Rythu Mahotsavam would greatly benefit farmers by equipping them with essential agricultural skills, knowledge of organic farming and modern technologies to increase profitability with minimal investment. He urged farmers to make full use of the opportunity.
Jupally Krishna Rao said that the State government was committed to supporting farmers in every possible way. He added that, beyond the six guarantees promised to the people, numerous other welfare schemes and development programs were being implemented across Telangana.
Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that the pending bonus amount related to paddy procurement would be released soon. He also assured the attendees that more check dams would be sanctioned shortly for the undivided Nizamabad district.
