Komatireddy Scoffs At Congress Showcause Notice
A defiant Congress Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who was issued a showcause notice by his Party, said showcause notices in the Congress were common.
A defiant Congress Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who was issued a showcause notice by his Party after he publicly pronounced that current TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy was worse that the previous chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, opined that disciplinary action against him was not that easy because the Congress was a big sea.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Komatireddy said that issuing of showcause notices in the Congress was very common.
He also pointed out that Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy and former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana had also criticised CLP leader K Jana Reddy in Gandhi Bhavan. He asked why the Party did not serve showcause notices to Palvai and Sarve.
Komatireddy also lashed out at the Krishna River Water Board Management alleging that there was a huge conspiracy behind KRMB's favourable behaviour towards Andhra Pradesh. He said that the Palamuru, Ranga Reddy and Dindi projects were launched during the previous Congress regime only, and that it was atrocious to bring them under the Krishna River Board's authority.
He asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to take the issue seriously and take it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly instead of addressing letters to the Centre. He expressed concern over the Krishna River Board Authority's decision, saying the south Telangana would become a desert.
