Komatireddy Reiterates He Won't Leave Congress

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asserted once again that he would continue in the party whether the high command gave him the PCC chief post or not.
Hyderabad | 2nd October 2017
Congress MLA from Nalgonda Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asserted once again that he would continue in the party whether the high command gave him the PCC chief post or not.

"There is no chance of my changing my party affiliation at any cost," he declared.

The fact that Komatireddy and Telangana PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy are bitter rivals is well known. Komatireddy's supporters booed Uttam Kumar Reddy at a function recently, and Komatireddy publicly criticizes the man who is technically his boss.

Komatireddy said that the farmers and unemployed youth were being deceived by the TRS government. He said that his party's leaders would explain to the people the anti-people KCR policies, by undertaking padayatras and other forms of outreach. Reddy said that the decision on how to execute the outreach would be taken after discussing with the party's high command.

Komatireddy also exuded confidence that the Congress would emerge victorious in the 2019 elections, and said that it would also teach a fitting lesson to the TRS government in any by-elections that happened (referring to the possible by-elections for the Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat).
