The Disciplinary Committee of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has served a show-cause notice to Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asking him to give an explanation within a week for his remark that TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy was a worse PCC chief than his predecessor Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
Reacting to the show-cause notice, Komatireddy said that he didn't care for it.
He told the media on Sunday that the PCC had no power to issue a notice, and and pointed out that he had made a similar statement some 16 months back, too.
He alleged that the Party was losing its roots in Telangana after giving the PCC chief post to Uttam Kumar Reddy, and said that he would not work under an inefficient PCC chief.
"I will take Uttam's issue to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi," he said.
Komatireddy alleged that Uttam Kumar Reddy didn't give respect to others. "I am a more senior leader than CLP leader K Jana Reddy, Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy," he added.
He also made it clear that he had never said that he would join the ruling TRS.
