TRS leader Gutha Sukhender Reddy today ridiculed the Congress leaders for extending their support to their MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who he claimed
tried to create panic at a Nalgonda marketyard foundation stone-laying function.
Speaking to mediapersons at Nalgonda, Sukhender Reddy charged the Congress with encouraging rowdism by offering implicit support to Venkat Reddy's "mindless attack" and with hatching plots against the TRS government. He claimed that the attack was planned by the Congress, and said that the government would not tolerate such moves.
He also condemned the comments of CLP leader K Jana Reddy and TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy on the market yard incident, saying they were being vague.
"These two leaders seem to have forgotten the insults by Venkat Reddy, who belittled them several times even as the Congress was mired in internal squabbles," he said.
Giving "blind" support to the Komatireddy brothers would cost the Congress dearly, he warned. In trying to create panic through the attack Venkat Reddy had become a zero instead of a hero, and such indiscipline would cost the Congress further, he said.
He also claimed that the brothers were planning to cross over to the BJP, and the Congress top brass was trying to prevent them from doing so. He called upon the Congress activists not to fall prey to the conspiracies of Venkat Reddy.
