Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy threw a challenge at IT Minister K T Rama Rao saying that he would quit politics if Nizamabad MP K Kavitha won again in 2019.
Speaking to the media on Friday in Nizamabad, Komatireddy asked KTR to just get his sister to win in the 2019 elections instead of challenging TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to stop the TRS from winning 100 seats.
Launching another attack, he also said that the education system in Telangana was suffering due to the Sri Chaitanya and Narayana educational institutions. He demanded that the state government cancel recognition to the two groups as the police had arrested the dean of those colleges in the EAMCET paper leak scam.
Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's family had a 40% share in the Sri Chaitanya and Narayana educational institution groups, Komatireddy said that the KCR government protected anyone and took up any work if it got commissions, and warned that the Congress would approach the High Court against the Sri Chaitanya and Narayana groups. He also alleged that the KCR government escalated the cost of the Pranahitha project from Rs 30,000 crores to Rs 90,000 crores, which was another example of its venality.
