Senior Congress leader and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today wrote an open letter to CM K Chandrashekar Rao and demanded that he release the DSC teachers' recruitment notification with 13,500 vacancies as announced in the State, within a week.
He warned the CM that the Congress would storm his camp office Pragathi Bhavan if he failed to fulfill his (Reddy's) demand.
In his letter, Komatireddy also asked the CM to explain the status of the fulfillment of the primary aspirations of the Telangana statehood movement including water, funds and job appointments. He alleged that even the projects started during the Congress regime had not yet been completed by the BRS government despite being in power for over 9 years now. He also said a surplus-income State had been turned into a debt-ridden State.
He said that the total negligence in the matter of teachers' posts was part of the same ineptitude and indifference. He said that the CM had in December 2020 announced recruitment for the 13,500 teacher posts in the Assembly, but that in the DSC announced by the State government, only 5,000 posts had been notified for recruitment. During the Congress rule in the united State, a TET notification used to be issued once every six months, and a DSC notification used to be issued once every two years, he said.
