The
recent feud between Telangana Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy and Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy remains unresolved still, with both leaders lashing out at each other frequently.
Speaking to the media in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy today lambasted not only Rajagopal Reddy but also the latter's elder brother, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, alleging, "Two Congress leaders, the Komatireddy brothers, are trying to stall our government's development programs. We will not tolerate their behaviour and they will have to face serious action if they do not stop hindering the implementation of our welfare schemes."
Referring directly to the altercation between him and Rajagopal Reddy that took place during a ration card distribution in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, the minister accused the Congress MLA of behaving like "a hooligan" who had snatched his microphone during the program for "political mileage".
(The fight between the two had broken out during the program, which was held at Choutuppal, after an angry Rajgopal Reddy had barged into the venue, lashing out at the minister for not having invited him to the program.)
He added that the Congress needed to stop "hatching conspiracies" against and "spreading untruths" about the Dalit Bandhu scheme and other welfare efforts.
The minister also accused the party's leaders of "minting crores illegally" during the rule of the Congress in undivided Andhra Pradesh, and thundered, "I do not like to harp on about personal issues. But, Rajagopal Reddy and Venkat Reddy too should stop spreading misinformation about our government's initiatives. I will not keep quiet if they continue to stall welfare and development programs in Telangana. For the past seven years, our government has been implementing several welfare programs that have benefitted scores of people in the state. So, Congress leaders should stop levelling false charges against us or we will be forced to take serious action against them if they continue to behave in such an objectionable fashion."
