Komati Brothers Slam Rumors Of Joining BJP

Condemning "false campaigning by the TRS and some Congress leaders" against his brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and him, Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy said that there was not even an iota of truth in the rumours doing the rounds in the mainstream and social media that they were joining the BJP.

Reddy said that their political foes were trying to weaken them (the Komatireddy brothers) politically by indulging in false campaigning.

"First they spread rumours that we would join the TRS, and now they are spreading rumours that we will join the BJP," he fumed.

He said that his brother and he strongly suspected that their opponents were conspiring to weaken them and the Congress.

He said that they would work in the Congress under the leadership of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who accorded statehood to Telangana, faithfully.

"We will not leave the Congress succumbing to the pressures and temptations," he said.

He also asseverated that his brother and he would strive selflessly to bring the Congress into power in the coming elections.

"We will strive to bring the Congress to power whether we ourselves are in positions or not," he said.

He stated that he won the MLC election since he kept his faith in Sonia Gandhi, and that he would always follow the same philosophy.
