Kodandaram Sits On Fast, Blames KCR For Covid Explosion

The Telangana Jana Samithi founder sat on a day-long fast to seek financial support for the poor whose livelihoods were affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
Hyderabad | 2nd July 2020
Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) founder president M Kodandaram today sat on a day-long hunger strike to seek financial support for the poor whose livelihoods were affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

Telangana TDP President L Ramana and CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy extended their support to the strike.

Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram demanded that the Chief Minister extend a financial aid of Rs 7,500 to the poor people of the state.

He also demanded that the CM reveal the details of the funds received by the state government so far to battle Covid from the central government.

He said that the CM was solely responsible for all the mistakes related to Covid in Telangana, and its explosion.

Speaking later, Ramana alleged that KCR was not listening to the leaders of the opposition parties for an all-party meeting to discuss the handling of Covid. And Venkat Reddy demanded that the state government announce an economic package immediately.
