Kodandaram Meets Vijayamma Over T-Issue

Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram called on YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma at her residence Lotus Pond here on Saturday.

Talking to reporters later, Kodandaram said that he has requested Vijayamma to direct her party's representatives to support the statehood for the Telangana region during the all-party meeting being held at New Delhi on December 28. He said that Vijayamma has assured him that she would consider his request after discussing the same with other party leaders.

It may be mentioned that Kodandaram had met Pradesh Congress Committee president Bosta Satyanarayana on Friday at Gandhi Bhavan seeking his party's support for the Telangana cause. He will be meeting the leaders of all nine political parties who have been invited for the all-party meeting on Telangana by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. (INN)
