Stating that it was clear with
his recent statement that Telangana JAC chairman M Kodandaram had been working with a political agenda in his mind from the very beginning, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar said that their doubts all through were proved to be true now.
Speaking to the media at the TRS Legislature Party office on Saturday, Prabhakar reminded the media persons that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had originally created the Telangana JAC to get all sections of the people to become a part of the separate Telangana movement, and had himself made Kodandaram the chairman of the JAC.
There was no need for a JAC now, and all political parties had left it, but the Kodandaram was still using it to work with people's organisations to further his political ambitions, Karne said.
He alleged that Kodandaram, who was supposed to speak facts as a professor, was speaking falsehoods. He said that he would send a factsheet to Kodandaram that would show that the government had filled 32,000 jobs already, and thus prove that the latter's statement on recruitments was false.
He alleged that Kodandaram had become a mouthpiece of the Congress party, and was saying the same things that TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy had said four days ago. This revealed his true self, and the illusions about him that the people had gone away now.
Kodandaram had the right to float a political party, he said, but the TRS' main objection was to Kodandaram indulging in politics in the guise of a non-political movement, when what he was primarily after was to use his goodwill to form an alliance with the Congress to come to power.
Karne also took serious objection to Kodandaram giving a call to organise a rally to provoke the unemployed youth, which would both malign the government and provoke violence. It was up to the DGP to decide on whether to give permission to the rally or not and much would depend upon the conditions prevailing on the day, he opined.
Vowing that KCR would fulfil his assurance of giving jobs to one lakh people, Karne advised Kodandaram not to act in a hurry and wait till the government filled the vacancies if he was really sincere about the cause.
