Responding to a call given by Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M Kodandaram, scores of group-2 post aspirants today held a dharna in front of the TSPSC office along with TJS leaders and NSUI activists.
Due to this, a tense situation prevailed at the TSPSC office for some time. The police, who were deployed at the office to prevent any rioting by the candidates, eventually apprehended NSUI State president Balumuri Venkat and others. They were later taken to the Goshamahal stadium.
The protestors then moved their agitation to the stadium demanding that the State government immediately release those arrested, and said that the police were acting unethically despite their protest being peaceful.
They also demanded that the State government take an immediate decision to postpone the Group-2 exams.
