Kodandaram, Amer Ali Khan Nominated Again As MLCs
The Telangana Cabinet today decided to propose Professor M Kodandaram and Siasat newspaper editor Amer Ali Khan as MLCs under the Governor's quota.

The State Cabinet today decided to propose the names of Professor M Kodandaram and Siasat Urdu newspaper editor Amer Ali Khan as MLCs under the Governor's quota.
Both Kodandaram and Khan were nominated as MLCs under the same quota by the Congress government in the past, too. However, the Telangana High Court quashed the nominations.
The State Cabinet has now decided to nominate both leaders again.
The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held at the Assembly Committee Hall today took several other key decisions with regard to the State.
Speaking to the media, ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar said that the Cabinet had approved the job calendar to recruit for government job vacancies in a specific period of time as per the promise given to the unemployed youth. The subject would be discussed in the Assembly on Friday, they said.
The Cabinet had also taken a decision to allot a 600 square yard house plot in Hyderabad to sportspersons Esha Singh, Nikhat Zareen and Mohammed Siraj. Besides, Siraj and Zareen had been offered Group-1 jobs in the State government, they said.
The Cabinet also discussed issuing health cards with the health profiles of all the people, along with ration cards. It had been decided that a ministerial sub-committee with the Revenue Minister, Health Minister and Civil Supplies Minister would be formed to finalise the procedures.
The Cabinet also decided to complete the right and left canals under the Gauravelli project. Revised estimates will be prepared of the funds required to undertake the necessary land acquisition of nearly 2,000 acres.
The Cabinet decided to give a Municipal Commissioner job to Hari Ratan, son of Intelligence DG Rajiv Ratan who died in the line of duty recently. It also decided to give a Deputy Tehsildar job to the son of Additional DGP Murali who also died in the line of duty recently.
The Cabinet also decided to take appropriate measures for the revival of Nizam Sugar Factory, and approved the payment of arrears to be paid in the second installment.
