Kodandaram's Telangana Jana Samithi To Ally With Congress
As part of the alliance, the TJS is expecting to contest for the Mudhol, Yellareddy, Korutla and Zaheerabad Assembly seats, where the Congress is weak.

Telangana Jana Samithi founder-president M Kodandaram today met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the V-Park Hotel in Karimnagar.
During the meeting, Gandhi asked Kodandaram to work with the Congress, as also to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Kodandaram said that he was not interested in contesting the elections. Discussions however continued between the two leaders on the understanding to be reached between their parties for the upcoming Assembly elections and the strategy to be adopted to counter the ruling BRS.
Speaking to media persons later, Kodandaram said that the TJS had been formed to bring down the dictatorial rule of CM K Chandrashekar Rao, and that his party had decided to ally with the Congress towards that goal and for the benefit of Telangana. As part of the alliance, the Telangana Jana Samithi was expecting to contest for the Mudhol, Yellareddy, Korutla and Zaheerabad Assembly seats, where the Congress was weak, he said.
Congress leaders K C Venugopal and Revanth Reddy also participated in the meeting.
