Suspended Telugu Desam Party MLA Kodali Nani, on Sunday, announced that he would contest on the YSR Congress Party ticket in 2014 elections.
Participating in a public meeting at SC Wada in Angaluru in Gudlavaleru mandal in Krishna district, the former Gudivada MLA said that he had taken this decision after consulting his well-wishers and supporters.
Kodali Nani said that he had failed to fulfill the promises made to the people of Gudivada despite getting elected twice on the Telugu Desam Party ticket, as it had failed to assert its power in the state.
Stating that there was no bright future for the TDP in the state, he said that the people would not believe Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu?s ?cheap political gimmicks and promises?.
Nani predicted that YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy would become the chief minister of the state in the 2014 general elections.
He also promised that he would develop the Gudivada Assembly constituency with funds of over Rs. 250 crore. (INN)
