Referring to the increasing number of hate crimes against Indians in the USA in the recent past, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up the matter with the US authorities at the appropriate level to halt the unfortunate incidents.
In a letter to Modi, KCR said, "There have been some very unfortunate incidents in the USA in the recent past. The killings of Hyderabad's Srinivas Kuchibhotla, aged 32, in Kansas State, and Warangal's Vamshi Chander Reddy Mamidala, aged 27, in California have shaken the confidence of the kith and kin of the youth from India who are working in the US. As we all know, the Indian diaspora in the US are contributing immensely to the development of the US and India has well. I request you to take up the matter with US authorities immediately."
