The Bharatiya Janata Party alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself had raised the issue of "settlers" in Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, BJP National Executive member N Ramchander Rao said that KCR was the one who had raised the issue of "settlers" and created a controversy. However, now he had changed his stand by saying that everyone living in the city was a 'Hyderabadi'.
Ramachander Rao said that KCR's statement was aimed at gaining political mileage during the MLC elections for the Graduate Constituencies, the Sanathnagar Assembly by-election and the forthcoming GHMC elections.
Ramchander Rao demanded that KCR maintain one stand on any given issue. He also advised him to start acting like an elected representative and not like a "Tughlaq" (crazy monarch). (INN)
