Congress MLA D K Aruna on Monday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of not giving any specific assurance to the people of Mahabubnagar on drinking water supply.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Aruna said that the Chief Minster had undertaken the Mahabubnagar tour in a hasty manner.
While KCR had spent four days in Warangal, he had spent only a few hours in Mahabubnagar, she alleged, while describing his tour as a flop show.
It appeared that KCR had visited the Mahabubnagar district not as the Chief Minister but as the president of the TRS, she said, since none of the legislators belonging to the opposition parties had been invited for the tour.
Aruna alleged that KCR had always given step-motherly treatment to the Mahabubnagar district, ignoring the fact that the people of Mahabubnagar had elected him as Member of Parliament in the 2009 elections and thereby strengthened the statehood movement. She also said that KCR had failed to bring any development to Mahabubnagar even during his tenure as MP.
The Congress leader said that the Chief Minister should dedicate one day for each Assembly constituency if he was serious about the development of Telangana. (INN)
