Referring to Congress leaders' demand of resignation of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over the recent building collapse in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, TRS leader Karne Prabhakar today accused the Telangana Congress of delibetrately trying to malign the government's image in the name of votes.
The TRS leader shot down the demand and said that it was not new for TRS leaders to resign as and when the situation demanded, and cited TRS leaders' resignations during the Statehood movement. And sought to know what Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Uttam Kumar Reddy or Working President Bhatti Vikramarka had done for Telangana during the previous regime.
"During the Telangana movement, they were pro-united Andhra Pradesh. Now that AP has been bifurcated, they are trying to appease Telangana people by maligning the CM and his family with false allegations. They are merely appealing to populist sentiments, like in the case of the building collapse, and the recent Hyderabad rains. This is insincere demogoguery," he claimed.
Prabhakar also claimed that the TRS would soon expose the malefactions of the previous governments.
