Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy today said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be reminded of all his election promises if he met with defeat in the upcoming by-election for the Dubbaka Assembly constituency.
Referring to the announcement of the CM about the purchase of maize from farmers and the provision of DA to the state government employees, he said that they were the victory of the people of Dubbaka.
He pointed out that the CM who had once compared the employees of the state to the tail of a dog was now forced to announce a hike in DA for them.
He also pointed out that the CM who had asked the farmers to not cultivate maize claiming that it was selling for just Rs 1,200 per quintal, had announced that the government would buy the maize crop for Rs 1,850 per quintal.
These were out of fear that the TRS would lose Dubbaka, and the CM would fulfill all his unfulfilled promises if the TRS was defeated in the by-election, Reddy claimed.
Thus, the dalits would get land and free double bedroom houses, the Aarogyasri scheme coverage would improve, and additional reservations for Muslims and tribals would be implemented after the defeat of the TRS in the by-election, he said.
Thus, a victory for the Congress in Dubbaka would be big milestone in the politics of Telangana, he said.
Reddy also conveyed Bathukamma and Dasara greetings to the citizens of the state.
