Kicking off the second leg of his political campaigning for the upcoming elections in Nizamabad, TRS supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today took on his b?te noire and Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu, terming him a Telangana betrayer and alleging that he was offering to pump in Rs 500 crores to partner the Congress and forge an "unethical" alliance for the elections.
It was shameful that the Congress was forging such an opportunistic alliance with Naidu, a thief who was caught red-handed and a leader who had destroyed Telangana, KCR said.
Addressing a mammoth public meeting in Induru (Nizamabad), KCR claimed that Naidu had caused the deaths of hundreds of youths during the statehood movement, and was a "demon" who seized seven mandals from Telangana. Uttam Kumar Reddy should be ashamed of forging an alliance with a party led by such a man, the TRS chief said.
"I would have given them four seats if the Congress had begged us," KCR scoffed. He appealed to the people to teach a fitting lesson to the Congress-TDP alliance for trying to destabilize the government and stall growth through filing cases in the courts against the irrigation projects of his government.
Giving power to the Congress-TDP alliance was nothing short of becoming slaves to Andhra and Delhi leaders, and the people should vote for the TRS for more development and welfare, he said.
