KCR Trying To Keep Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Away From Yadadri Fete: Congress

TPCC vice-president G Niranjan said that the Swamy was asked to clarify his alleged remarks against the Sammakka-Saralamma deities as part of a political game.
Hyderabad | 17th March 2022
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) vice-president G Niranjan said that the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy was asked to clarify his alleged remarks against the Sammakka-Saralamma deities as part of a political game by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Niranjan said that the issue was being raked up at this stage to keep the Swamy away from the inauguration of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri.

"If the Swamyji made any such comments, that would be against the spirit of Samathamurthy Ramanujacharya Swamy. There is a danger that conflict will arise within the same religion. And the Swamyji would certainly not do anything that could have such consequences," he said.

The followers of the Swamy around the world were deeply saddened by the criticism against the great personality who was sacrificing his life for spiritual enlightenment among the people, Niranjan claimed. The devotees were suspecting that the Chief Minister had cleverly planned this controversy to prevent participation of the Swamy in the Yadadri temple inauguration, as the CM was maintaining a distance from the Swamy since the unveiling of the statue of Samathamurthy, he added.

Persons like Rameswara Rao of My Home were responsible for the bad propaganda against the seer, Niranjan also said.

"If we put dharma on one side and business interests on the other side, people like Rameswara Rao will choose business interests over dharma," Niranjana claimed.

"I request Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for an immediate clarification to put an end to these allegations. As there is a controversy on collecting money for a darshan of the Samathamurthy, I request the Swamy to provide free darshan. A special darshan can be charged for," he added.

For the unversed, a few days back, the Swamy had announced that he would participate in the Yadadri event along with the Chief Minister.
