Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Chief JusticeoOf India N V Ramana, who
arrived in Hyderabad yesterday, are likely to visit the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple in the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district on June 14 to pay their respects to the presiding deity and to observe the ongoing development and modernisation works of the temple.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will also accompany the CM and the CJI.
It is Ramana's maiden visit to the temple. The temple authorities are busy making elaborate arrangements for a grand welcome for the CJI.
He visited Tirumala in the morning yesterday, before flying down to Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the Yadadri redevelopment project, which was started in October 2016 at an estimated cost of Rs 1,200 crore, is in full swing. So far, Rs 850 crore has been spent on the works.
The TRS regime has been heavily invested in the project, and has expressed its desire to turn the hill shrine into a "world-class religious site". It has been monitoring the progress of the redevelopment works regularly.
Once the construction is finished, the temple premises, which have now been expanded to cover 3.5 acres, will house a presidential suite, 13 VVIP villas and a host of amenities for devotees.
