This year, too, many official celebrations are being held, leading them being the Chief Minister's Christmas dinner, to be hosted on December 20 at the L B Stadium with ministers, MLAs, MLCs, bishops, pastors, lay leaders, scheme beneficiaries and other Christian community members present.
Nine eminent Christian individuals and four institutions who excelled in various fields will be felicitated during the event. Two cents of government land was allocated for the construction of a Christian Bhavan at Kokapet village under Gandipet mandal. The issue of a burial ground for the Christian community was also solved by the allocation of 40.21 acres of government land in Rangareddy, Medchal and Vikarabad districts to the community.
