Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is to take a call on the 21% interim relief demand by the RTC employee leaders / TMU to call off the proposed strike.
The entire cabinet including Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Finance Minister E Rajender, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageshwar Rao and Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy today spoke with the TMU leaders and asked them to put off the strike proposed from June 11.
The TMU leaders, who appear to have taken a step back after KCR's stern warning 2-3 days back - the government has warned of using ESMA against any employees who go on strike and terminate the jobs of those attend the stir, and even close down the corporation if needed - asked for an interim 21% wage hike (they are actually seeking a 50% hike), perhaps as a face-saving exercise, to call off the strike.
The ministers took the interim relief demand to KCR. KCR then discussed the issue with the officials concerned, and is yet to take a decision.
