Deputy CLP leader in the Telangana Legislative Assembly T Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday accused the TRS government of deliberately stalling the schemes launched during the previous Congress regime.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had been delaying the completion of the Pranahita-Chevella project only to deprive the Congress party from taking credit for the same.
Similarly, instead of continuing the girl child welfare scheme Bangaru Talli, the TRS government launched Kalyana Lakshmi / Shaadi Mubarak by reducing the amounts.
While promising one super-specialty hospital in every district, KCR had stopped funding for the Bibinagar NIMS.
KCR was basically copying the Congress schemes, but launching them with new names, as he was afraid that the Congress would take credit for the same, Reddy alleged.
Jeevan Reddy also accused the Chief Minister of paying no attention to the damages caused by the unseasonal rains.
Stating that nearly three lakh acres of crops had been damaged by the rains, he said that the state government was yet to prepare a final report and submit it to the Centre.
He said that in the Karimnagar district alone, horticulture crops spread across 1 lakh acres had been damaged. (INN)
